The GreenComp Enterprises project has been selected as a positive case study and was included in two publications released by the Publications Office of the European Union.
The report “GreenComp in practice: case studies on the use of the European competence framework” examines how the European competence framework GreenComp is used as a reference guide to help advance the development of learners’ sustainability competences. It explores the reasons the framework was selected from the various stakeholders and the challenges they faced during the adaptation of the framework in their projects’ objectives and needs. Moreover, it gathers the expected results of GreenComp’s utilisation in diverse educational settings and geographies and provides suggestions for the further development of the framework and its broader adoption in future projects.
In total, 12 case studies were selected for the analytical report mentioned above and the compendium “Learning from practice: A compendium of case studies on GreenComp”, as examples of best implementing GreenComp and are featured in both publications. Covering all levels of education (primary and secondary education, higher education, vocational education, training and non-formal education) they represent the framework’s adaptability and transferability. The described projects’ activities vary from the creation of evaluation methods and learning materials, to personalised training for educators and learners, as well as the development of online tools. By building their educational methodologies with the framework as a reference, they facilitate sustainability education and training, fostering sustainability capacity building.
The GreenComp Enterprises project utilises GreenComp framework to develop sustainability competences to startups and established enterprises to achieve its goal of enhancing the startup of green and ethical enterprises and enhancing the production of eco-friendly products.
